The New Wave and Risk of TCPA Class Action Lawsuits

TCPA World just published an interesting story about a trend in class action lawsuits that everyone who works in lead generation should pay attention to.

We obviously can’t say whether any of the big, reputable lead providers intentionally defraud their clients, but we can add this important thought to the discussion:
It only takes one disreputable affiliate out of a thousand to turn a reputable company into a disreputable one. Many players have learned how to make a lot of money off of fraud, which is why it’s such an issue. And that is why every company needs to check their leads for fraud, no matter what the source.

If you don’t authenticate those leads, those fraudsters will commit the crime and stick you with the fine. These lawsuits won’t go away until the entire foodchain is committed to detecting fraud as it happens.
