Since 1992, William has contributed to the marketing efforts of many of the world’s leading brands, including SAP where he served as chief-of-staff for global marketing, IBM, Shell and Deutsche Bank. He has built over 100 websites designed to foster online communities around the world to promote awareness and drive revenue. A graduate of University of Chicago and Universität Konstanz, William also teaches social media for business at the New York Institute of Technology.

In 2013, Mr. Straube founded I.A.M. Straube, a venture capital management consulting firm that focuses on ICT investments. As Chairman and CEO at GroupM in Switzerland from 2004 to 2012, he reported directly to the Group CEO EMEA and oversaw a group of agencies - MEC, MINDSHARE, MEDIACOM, MAXUS. He used group scale effects with focus on the development of new media trading and digital technology to maximize the strengths and growth of the agencies as well as the overall market leading position of GroupM. During his time in Frankfurt from 2001 to 2004 he merged The Media Edge business with Mediahaus Ströbel and CIA in Düsseldorf to establish MEC in Germany, as one of the world’s leading media agency networks. Throughout his career, Volker has demonstrated strategic leadership, a passion for money making and an understanding of how to foster an entrepreneurial spirit.
